Program Overview
Strive’s Leadership Circles are twelve week-long community-based leadership development programs to help you become the leader you and your team want.
Circle Kick-Off Dinner
Meet the other 10-15 members of your cohort in-person to discuss your leadership goals and challenges, and to explore the demands of leading with the nuance of race and gender in the workplace.
Coaching Kick-Off
Meet 1:1 with your executive coach to define your values, share your personal and professional path, and kickstart your 360 inventory.
Classes meet every other week for 2hrs from 6-8PM
Class 1 & 2: Taming the Inner Critic
Developing into a leader requires one to understand their own personal hesitations, anxieties and fears before they can truly connect with and lead others. During this module, participants will name their inner critic, understanding why their inner critic exists, what it says and how it holds them back. In the second session, they'll work to transform their always-on internal banter from that of an inner critic to an inner leader so that they can realize their full potential without sabotaging their own success.
Class 3 & 4: Critical Conversations
The most important conversations to have are often the most difficult ones. At work, this leads to frustration and dashed expectations. However, having difficult conversations around performance, compensation, mentorship, feedback, and more is a learned skill. We work through several scenarios and share frameworks for approaching those conversations.
Class 5 & 6: Managing Up
Great leaders are advocates for themselves and their team, pushing for promotions, resources, opportunities and fighting scope creep. In this class, you’ll learn both how to advocate, and how to develop high-leverage relationships with advisors, mentors, and sponsors to set a foundation for future advocacy.
360 Reveal + Personal Development Plan
Meet with your executive coach to discuss your 360 results. You will discuss how others perceive your professional personality and leadership competencies, and develop a personalized professional development plan.
Circle Closing
Wrap up the cohort experience with another in-person dinner with your community. You will summarize your learning experience and practice what you’ve learned in role plays with professional actors.
Participants from Top Companies
Strive participants are high performing individual contributors and new managers from leading tech companies, high growth organizations, and smaller startups.
Strive's coaches are experienced working with emerging leaders at top companies
Coaches are approved based on work experience (preferring people who have worked in tech), coaching clients at notable companies, industry certifications, and are evaluated after each Strive engagement. Only 10% of interested coaches are included.

Skills Developed
Strive’s Circles combine self-discovery and skill development to help emerging leads thrive in the workplace. The self discovery occurs through community engagement and executive coaching (including the 360), while the skill development is largely during the remote classes.
During the program, you will learn each of the below skills. These skills are essential for both high performing individual contributors and new managers to reach the next level at work.
